Levelland will be getting a new coach to start the 2017 volleyball season.
Karli Morrison, who has led the Loboettes to four straight playoff appearance in all of her years in her post, will be departing to take a position at Lubbock Cooper.
The Lubbock Cooper board of trustees to approve the hire of Morrison on Thursday night.
Morrison shared district coach of the year honors with Denver City’s Megan David.
Levelland finished second in district with an 8-2 record and a 26-16 record in 2016, where they finished as regional quarterfinals, being eliminated by Monahans.
The Lady Pirates finished as district champions of 4-5A, as they advanced as regional quarter-finalists, being swept by eventual state champions, Amarillo.
