Mia Villegas recorded six RBIs while Chloe Dunn went four-for-four in her plate appearances as Levelland run-ruled Estacado 24-1 in a 2-4A contest on Friday. Hannah Hinajosa recored two triples in her showing. Mica Contreras recorded three RBIs respectively as she batted a perfect two-for-two in her plate showing. Christen Covarrubias picked up the win in the circle for the Loboettes, striking out five, walking one and allowed a run on one hit in her two inning showing.
Denver City 11, Lamesa 6
The Fillies recorded 11 consecutive runs as they faced a 6-0 deficit after four innings to improve Denver City to 2-1 in district on Friday. Heidi Gonzales recorded two RBIs as well as cather Haylee Villareal, who batted two-for-four in her plate showing. Kat Chavez recorded a .750 batting average on the night, with three hits being base hit singles. Jewel Santillan picked up the win in the circle for Denver City, striking out five in her five inning performance. Haleigh Gonzales recorded the save for the Fillies.
Andrews 8, Fort Stockton 1
A six-run fourth inning showing led by a three-run Lexi De La Cruz home run propeled the Lady Mustangs of Andrews past Fort Stockton in a 4-4A contest, 8-1. De La Cruz, who batted two-for-four, record three RBIs, leading the team. Jeseraie Moore and Aubree Hernandez hit two RBIs respectively. Hernandez and Mariah Infante led the team hitting, batting a two-for-three in their respective offensive showing. Marley Moralez picked up the victory in the circle for Andrews, stricking out one, walking two and allowing one run on six hits. Daisy Mireles picked up the save for Andrews, who improved to 23-2 overall and 3-0 in district play.
Randall 11, Plainview 1
Caya Lucero hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the second inning, along with recording four RBIs, as Randall recorded their third straight win, run-ruling Plainview, 11-1 in cold and windy conditions on Friday. Catcher Marissa Longbine recorded two RBIs, batting one-for-three on her showing. Kallie Marting also batted in two runs while hitting two-for-three in her respective plate appearance. After no hitting Amarillo High on Wednesday, Jessica Sisemore allowed a run on three hits, striking out nine and walking two in her five inning showing.
West 8, Whitney 3
Kayleigh Hannah recorded two RBIs while batting one-for-four as West struggled early but plated four late runs to topple Whitney, 8-3, in a 19-3A contest. Four Lady Trojans finished with one RBI apiece, including Mia Pokluda, who went two-for-three in her plate showing. Emeri Eubanks batted a perfect two-for-two, with both hits being base hit singles. Haley Fillip hit two-for-four in her offensive showing for West. Whitney was led by Rowlee Johnson, who recorded two RBIs. Savannnaugh Ayers recorded a triple for the Lady Cats. Danielle Nors picked up the win in the circle for the Lady Trojans, who struck out five batters, walking one and allowed three runs on one hit.
Sweetwater 19, Snyder 7
The Lady Mustangs used a ten-run fourth inning, led by a Emerald Torres two-run RBI double that led the Lady Mustangs past Snyder, 19-7, in a 5-4A contest. Tavis Black also recorded a two-run RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning. Lauren Jones recorded a grand slam homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to wrap up Sweetwater’s first win in 5-4A play, improving to 1-2 in district and 13-7 overall. Sweetwater was led by Jones, who recorded five RBIs, hitting three-for-four in her showing. Black finished with four RBIs, batting three-for-five at the plate. Maddie Hicks followed with three RBIs with a plate showing of three-for-four. Hannah Mobley also picked up the win for the Lady Mustangs, pitching one full inning. Hicks recorded the save, as she struck out out six, walked three and allowed seven runs on five hits.
