1. Sterling City (7-4)

A team that is returning five starters offensively, the Eagles are poised for a district title run in a tough 6-1AD1. All-state running back Tavenn Raymor returns after a solid junior season, recording 1,322 yards on the ground and tallying 17 TDs.

  1. Robert Lee (4-5)

With the second team in 6-1AD1, the district is surely going to be a dogfight every night. Robert Lee return all of their skill players from last season. The questions rely on the defense, returning two starters from a 4-5 team.

  1. Santa Anna (7-4)

With a playoff appearance and a district title in 2016, the Mountaineers look to build off from a successful season with five total starters returning. Despite the youth that will be seen, Santa Anna hopes for another district crown.

  1. Water Valley (4-5)

It will be a young team for the Wildcats, returning two starters on both sides of the ball and look to get back above .500 after experiencing their first losing season since 2007. Water Valley fans will be excited to see NG Eric Sharp back on the field after missing the entire 2016 season due to injury.

  1. Eden (5-5)

The sour taste of missing playoffs will be stuck for the Bulldogs in 2017, just missing the cut with a 1-2 district record. RB Donovan Gonzales will look to lead the offense, who returns four starters.

  • Veribest (4-5)

Under new leadership in Casey Mund, the Falcons look to build from their first-ever playoff appearance with four starters returning on both sides of the ball.
